Wildcats lands sleeper TE

For a school that has fired their head coach and still haven’t named a successor the Arizona Wildcats are doing fine job recruiting. Like Ol’ Man River the Wildcats keep rollin’ along. Arizona has received the verbal committal of a very fine tight end in Justin Walsh (6-6, 245, 4.6) from Laguna Hills, Calif.
Not much was known about Walsh going into the season because injuries slowed him down as a junior and didn’t get the chance to play much.

Walsh sure made up for lost time; he has had a stellar senior season catching 30 passes for 484 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 16.3 yards per catch.
“Justin liked Arizona a lot,” Laguna Hills head coach Bruce Ingalls said. “Though they don’t have a coach, Justin thought he would be a good fit.”
“Justin has great hands, real soft hands,” Ingalls said. “Add that with his great size and speed and you have the makings of an outstanding tight end.”
“Justin was injured much of his junior season, so he didn’t play much,” Ingalls said. “He sure surprised a lot of people with senior season performance.”
Besides Arizona, Walsh had offers from Wyoming and Colorado State. He also had trips set to Oregon and Washington State, but he will cancel those visits.
