Wildcats land Washington stud

What the Washington Huskies lost was what the Arizona Wildcats gain. Longtime Husky commit Adam Grant (6-8, 250, 4.95) from Puyallup, Wash., decided to commit to the Wildcats on his visit to the Tucson campus.
“Adam committed to Arizona yesterday,” Steve Grant, Adam’s Dad said. “We didn’t make it public until we were able to talk to Washington.”

Why Arizona?
“Overall it was the coaching staff, nice facilities, and strength and conditioning,” Steve Grant said. “Arizona really has a nice bunch of coaches who care about the players, not just as football players but academically and as people too.”
Coach (Mike) Stoops is really a nice guy and they seem like they are going places,” Grant said. “Arizona recruited Adam as a tight end, but if he grows he could end up playing left tackle for them.”
The Wildcats land one of the best prospects in the state of Washington for the class of 2005. Rivals.com rated Grant as the Evergreen State’s No. 11 prospect.
