Bolu Olornfunmi went out to see Northwestern last weekend to experience the school's junior day, and the 2015 running back was definitely impressed.

The Fresno (Calif.) Clovis North running back loves the academics and athletics and really appreciated the candidness of the coaching staff during his trip.
"It was great," Olornfunmi said. "I liked the mix of academics and athletics. They really pride themselves in academics and pride themselves in worrying about the next 40 years rather than the next four years and the NFL. They have a bunch of opportunities for jobs after college and that's one reason why I have big interest in them."
Northwestern, Fresno State, Nevada and Eastern Washington have offered Olornfunmi so far, and he said many others are showing interest.
The 2015 running back said it's far too early to make any commitment, but he said his trip to Northwestern was definitely impressive.
"They are sticklers on who they are and who they recruit," Olornfunmi said. "Academics are important and it's important how you play but also your character. A lot of it was character and what kind of background I come from and how I am as a person.
"They were pretty much telling me I wouldn't be there if I didn't have those qualities. That's pretty much how they do it."
The trip to Northwestern was important to check out that program. It will also allow Olornfunmi to compare the Wildcats with other teams in the future.
"Now that I've seen what they're about and I've seen the campus, now I know what to look for when I go to other schools and compare," Olornfunmi said. "They're a good school and I'm keeping them around for sure."
