Wildcats at top for Zimmerer
Colorado State (Colo.) Academy tight end Sam Zimmerer has one school at the top of the list and he’s hoping to hear from them soon.
"Nothing really new for me,” the 6-foot-4, 245-pound Zimmerer said. “I have the same offers, Colorado State, Colorado and Air Force.”

The three in-state schools know what kind of talent is in their backyard, but the three-star prospect remains focused on one school.
“I’m waiting on Kansas State. They want to see my first couple games. They are my first choice. They told me to come out on an official visit. They want to see my games and see me play as a senior and then I think the offer will come.”
Zimmerer has the video camera ready and will mail of film from the games after he’s done.
“I’m ready to send it as soon as we get the tape,” he said. “Our first game is on Friday. We play Pine Creek. They were one of the top team states this year. It should be a good game.”
