Wildcats add No. 18

Blue Springs (Mo.) South tight end Jeremy Mack two-star tight end Jeremy Mack might be one of the biggest unknowns in the state of Missouri because he injured his shoulder early in the season and missed six games in his junior season.
Still, the Kansas State Wildcats saw enough from him on film to offer him a scholarship. The offer turned into something more on Tuesday.

"I just wanted to let you know that I've officially committed to Kansas State," Mack, who is 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, said.
"I'm really glad I did. I've been really high on Kansas State for a long time. They believed in me early on and offered me a scholarship before others did.
"I want to get back out there this season and prove to everybody that I'm one of the best players in Missouri and Kansas City. I just need more opportunities, and the Wildcats definitely gave me a great early opportunity. It was one I couldn't pass up on."
Mack took unofficial visits this summer to Missouri, BYU, Utah and was going to visit Michigan State before his commitment changed those plans.
He said both BYU and Utah were on the verge of offering him a scholarship and both Kansas and Missouri indicated they were going to offer early in the fall after further film review.
"The coaches at K-State are great," Mack said.
"I think the program is going to be right at the top of the Big 12 soon. Ron Prince is bringing in a good program. It's a good school that really fits what I'm looking for. It feels great to make the commitment and get it out of the way."
In limited action, Mack had 24 receptions for 477 yards and eight scores. He said the Wildcats recruited him to play H-back.
"I think with my frame that's going to be a good fit for me," he said.
