Wicker plans all five visits

Joseph Wicker has moved from defensive end to defensive tackle for his senior season and he's become a different player.
The four-star from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly has 55 tackles and 17.5 sacks through the first week of playoffs and Wicker said he's just much better playing inside.

"I feel comfortable on the field, period," Wicker said. "I feel like I can beat anybody."
So far, Wicker has taken an official visit to Texas Tech and it went really well. More visits are coming up but Wicker said he really had a great time in Lubbock and it should influence his thinking.
"I love Texas Tech," Wicker said. "I love Texas. I love the environment. I love the fans. The fans are great. The town is all football and they made everything fun for me and everybody is so loving and comforting. It was just fun for me."
This weekend the four-star defensive tackle is headed to Arizona State. The Sun Devils have had tremendous success this season and Wicker especially likes that ASU would use him all over the defensive line.
"They're having a great season," Wicker said. "They have great coaches and they would move me around the d-line a lot. I like that they would move me to end, inside. I like the position they're in."
Wicker is planning to take all five visits before announcing his commitment. Trips to UCLA, Oklahoma and Notre Dame are also going to happen and it sounds like he'll take one with the Bruins for their game against Stanford later this month. He's unsure of dates for the two others.
A decision is not expected for a while.
"It's going to be signing day with all my buddies," Wicker said.
