Wick has Pac-10 favorite

Shaun Wick doesn't have any offers yet but the Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure running back is visiting Oregon State in a couple weeks and feels good that the Beavers might be the first to offer.
Wick, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound prospect, said he's been having good talks with Oregon State and grew up liking that program so if an offer came it would be big and definitely something to think about as his recruitment heats up.

At Sunday's Rivals.com Five-Star Academy at Corona Centennial, Wick said he and his coach at St. Bonaventure have been talking a lot with Oregon State secondary coach Keith Heyward.
"I'm hearing a lot from Oregon State," Wick said. "They say they want to offer me and they probably will maybe this May or maybe a little bit later.
"I know coach Heyward, the defensive backs coach, he's the recruiter around Southern California, and he's been talking to me and my coach. In two weeks I'm going to take an unofficial visit and watch the spring game. That's the major school talking to me."
San Diego State, Iowa State, Wisconsin and Nevada are four other programs showing interest in Wick, who rushed for 1,218 yards and 16 touchdowns on 133 carries in his junior season.
Wick said if Oregon State does offer it would be something to strongly consider because he's liked the Beavers for a long time.
"I love Oregon State," Wick said. "I've always wanted to go there ever since I was a kid. I always liked the way they played and their offense. I just loved watching them."
