Wichita tackle picks up offers

Wichita (Kan.) Collegiate offensive tackle Alex Schooler has added scholarship offers over the past month and now has scheduled his first official visit.
"I just got off the phone with the North Texas coach," the 6-foot-5, 245-pound Schooler said. "I am taking an official visit there on January 23. I was talking to them about the visit and the scholarship offer I got from them on Friday.
"I also have an offer from Army already and also from Air Force. Marshall also offered me about a week ago. They flew in Monday last week to see me and offered me on Tuesday.
"I will take my official visit to Marshall on January 16. I have not taken any visits yet."
While those four schools have placed scholarship offers on the table, Schooler is keeping an eye open for other possibles.
"If nothing else comes up, I will try to make a decision among those four schools after those visits. Army came in to talk to me when they had offered. Air Force hasn't been in to talk to me recently. I visited North Texas and stopped by and talked to the coaches on my way to a hunting trip. I'm looking forward to the official visits."
