Statistics: As a junior, Hefney made 81 tackles and intercepted five passes.
Honors: All-conference, all-area.
Favorite Schools: South Carolina, Tennessee, LSU, NC State, North Carolina, Florida State.
Skinny: Hefney is the top defensive back in South Carolina this year and has blazing speed and natural instincts in man-to-man coverage. Although he’s not the tallest cornerback, Hefney has excellent leaping ability. A great athlete, Hefney played quarterback and wide receiver on offense but he’ll be cornerback in college.
“My three favorites are South Carolina, Tennessee and NC State,” he said. “South Carolina is my favorite because it’s close to home and playing for coach Holtz is a dream. I’m going to camp at South Carolina and Florida State this summer and I was at the USC Spring Game.”
Hefney has also visited NC State and thinks he wants to take official visits before deciding.
