Whittington resets visit

Linebacker Damion Whittington (6-1, 225, 4.6) from Norco, Calif., is just beginning to start the recruiting process in earnest. He has set up two visits in January and he there have Pac 10 schools on the campus to meet with him.
"I thought I was visiting Fresno State this weekend, but there was a mix up," Whittington said. "I'll be visiting them on January 11th. I think they are going to wait until I get there before they offer.

"I have another official visit to Nevada on January 18th," Whittington said. "I always planned on making my decision on signing day, but if there is a school I visit that I like, I will probably commit.
"Washington State was looking at me until their coach was let go," Whittington said. "I supposed to visit Colorado State, but they going through a coaching change also.
"Utah State just offered me," Whittington said. "They think I can play safety for them.
Oregon, Washington and UCLA have had their representatives have been on campus to check Whittington out.
Whittington is being recruited as an athlete. He will be looked at to play both safety and linebacker.
Whittington was selected first-team all-league for his senior season performance after racking up 96 tackles, two pass deflections, one forced fumble and one interception.
