Whittington adds more offers

Norco, Calif., outside linebacker Damion Whittington already had one scholarship offer on his list, but according to his mother, Cassandra Davis, things really picked up for him late in the spring evaluation process.
"He received two offers last week," Davis said about her son, a 6-foot-1, 225-pounder. "They came from Colorado State and Northwestern. We also received calls from the Washington Huskies, Idaho State, Fresno, Oregon and Arizona State.".

As a junior, Whittington had 116 tackles, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries. He does plan to attend USC's Rising Senior Camp in mid-June.
"USC said that I wouldn't get an offer until I came to one of the camps to see if I can be coached by Coach Norton," Whittington said.
"I guess I'll just have to wait, but I don't think they'll offer me that quick because they said that I look like one of the recruits they have, Maurice Simmons, except that I'm bigger. They want to find out who is faster."
