Kodi Whitfield just wrapped up his junior year and now the Los Angeles Loyola wide receiver is focused on calling coaches to set up some visits this summer.
The four-star prospect has been in touch with Cal assistant coach Ron Gould and some coaches from Stanford and Washington to see when he could make it to campus.
Whitfield, a 6-foot-1, 178-pound prospect, doesn't plan to make his decision until well into his senior season but he wants to schedule some visits to figure out which schools stand out most.

"I just finished school this last week and took my finals but I've been calling coaches trying to figure out their dates when they have junior days or camps," Whitfield said at the Dana Hills Air Strike Passing Tournament. "I'm pretty sure I'll have my whole schedule organized by next week.
"I called coach Gould again recently and I spoke with Stanford as well and Washington, too. They can't call me so I'm trying to reach them on their cell phones as much as I can."
So far, Arizona State, Boise State, Boston College, Colorado, Duke, Northwestern, Stanford, UCLA and Washington have offered Whitfield, who finished with 31 receptions for 440 yards and five touchdowns.
An offer from Cal would be big since Whitfield has been to campus already and likes what he sees and since he's remaining patient with the recruiting process there is still time for the Golden Bears to get involved.
"I'm going to wait it out with Cal," Whitfield said. "I've been up there a few times so I don't think I'm going to do any more camps but I'm going to play hard this season and see if anything happens with them."
Time is not an issue with Whitfield, who said he plans to take all five official visits before making a decision. Over the next few months he's going to focus in on his favorite schools, get ready to schedule some official trips and then figure it out from there.
Whitfield is in no rush.
"I'm definitely going to wait through September and have a top five throughout the season and then narrow it down so I can take my visits," he said.
"It's definitely hard because I'm getting calls from all these schools and these Ivy League schools and Harvard is really nice, too. I definitely want to take a visit there and they want to schedule one in December. I'm just trying to figure out where it feels best."
