Brady White is one of the top quarterbacks in the 2015 class and he just landed a big offer.
The Newhall (Calif.) Hart four-star prospect said two California coaches recently stopped by his school and offered - and he's going to take a serious look at the Golden Bears since they have so much to offer on and off the field.
"Coach (Tony) Franklin and coach (Rob) Likens both came out to the school and told me the good news that they were offering me a scholarship," White said.
"I have been talking to them for a good amount of time. The colleges are the only ones who know when they're going to offer someone, but that was one of the schools I was really hoping would take a shot at me just because they're such a great program athletically and academically.
"I feel like I fit really well into Cal and what they're doing up there. Also, it's a great area. There is a lot to like about Cal so I'm really excited about the offer."
So far, White, who's rated as the third-best pro-style quarterback and the No. 64 prospect in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, now has offers from Cal, Colorado State, Illinois, Indiana and San Jose State.
Many other programs have reached out to White, who threw for 4,535 yards with 41 touchdowns and 18 interceptions in his junior season. Oregon has now stopped twice at his school including one visit by coach Mark Helfrich.
"I've had a lot of schools that dropped by my school," White said. "(Thursday) I threw for Boise State, Dartmouth was out there. The other day Oklahoma was out, Colorado was here, Washington, BYU and Oregon stopped by earlier (Thursday), too.
"I feel confident in the schools that are showing me a lot of interest. Only the colleges know when they're going to offer. I keep working hard every day and keep talking to the coaches and hope for the best."
