White decision could be close

Brady White is heading back to Cal in the coming days and it's an important visit because his decision timetable has moved up to before his senior season.
It is no secret White and Newhall (Calif.) Hart teammate Trent Irwin want to play together in college so this trip to Berkeley could be a big deal in their decision-making process.

"I was up there last year," White said. "I'm just going out there to check it out again and to keep building our relationship with the coaches.
"I know they're high on me and they're high on my list as well. I'm looking forward to that visit. Once I'm done with all the visits I'll have a pretty good understanding of where I'll go or what my top list would be."
Those upcoming visits will be crucial to White, rated as the third-best pro-style quarterback and the No. 71 prospect in the 2015 class by Rivals.com.
The Newhall Hart standout said he is undecided whether he would visit Washington State and Arizona or pull an Eastern trip with stops at Penn State, Louisville, Kentucky, Indiana and possibly Maryland. One of those two itineraries will be figured out in the coming weeks.
"I just got that Washington State offer so that will play a factor with my visits," White said. "As of new interest, it's still pretty much the same schools, a lot of Big 10 schools, but I'm getting up to Cal next week so I'm looking forward to that.
"After that week, I'm seeing which visits coordinate best. It's either going to be a Washington State/Arizona combo visit or more of an Eastern swing in like two weeks. I'm seeing which one coordinates best with my schedule."
White, who threw for 4,535 yards with 41 touchdowns and 18 interceptions in his junior season, said a decision could be made in June or July or possibly earlier if he's comfortable with his choice after this next round of trips.
"I have an idea of it where I'm really considering highly," White said.
"Once I take these visits whether I end it in May or it carries into June, once I'm done with that I'll have a good understanding of just maybe my top three and then I'll make a decision soon after that."
