Whitaker to take more visits

Germantown (Md.) Northwest quarterback Ike Whitaker has led his team to a 2-0 start in 2004. In his first two games of the season, the versatile signal caller has passed for close to 400 yards and six touchdowns and added another 70 yards rushing.
Whitaker has taken a step back from the recruiting process to weigh his options, and is currently considering five schools in Maryland, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Florida, and West Virginia.

“I was thinking about trying to make a decision before the season started, but that has all changed,” explained Whitaker. “I’m thinking I may take some visits before deciding, but I haven’t made any plans yet. I’m not sure when I will decide right now.”
Whitaker does have plans to attend some games of some of his favorites this fall.
“I attend a lot of the Maryland home games since I live not too far away,” admitted Whitaker. “I’m also planning on going down to Blacksburg in a few weeks when they play North Carolina State. I’m not sure what other games I can get to right now.”
Two chools in Whitaker’s top five are showing the strongest interest at this point. Whitaker isn’t hinting at which school he may be leaning to at this point.
“Maryland and Virginia Tech definitely send me the most stuff and contact me the most,” stated Whitaker. “I don’t have any favorites or a group of favorites among my top five just yet.”
Whitaker will look to push Northwest’s record to 3-0 this Friday as they take on Painted Branch.
