Which Cowboys will get Kansas DT

Conway Springs, Kan. defensive tackle Phil Friess is down to two schools.
"He is going to decide between Oklahoma State and Wyoming," Conway coach Mark Bliss said. "He visited Wyoming last weekend and will go to Oklahoma State next weekend."

The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Friess enjoyed his trip to Laramie.
"He said he had a real good time. He liked everything he saw and he was impressed with the direction the new coaching staff was pointing things. He also knows that two of his friends (former teammate) Eric and (current teammate) Nathan Pauly will be at Colorado Springs just 45 minutes away. That is something he is thinking about too."
Oklahoma State did not wait for Friess to make the trip to Stillwater to lay an official scholarship offer on the table.
"They came by the school yesterday and had the official offer for him. It wasn't going to happen until he got down there this weekend, but they went ahead and came up and did it."
Oklahoma State also has a connection that will weigh on Friess.
"His cousin, Mike, is already committed to Oklahoma State. So that might help offset the fact that his friends are at CSU. I don't really know how much those things will play into it."
Two schools have worked to try and get a final visit from Friess, but Bliss didn't think either would likely happen.
"He is going to decline Vanderbilt's offer to visit. And Kansas has been trying to get him to visit. They've really be trying to get involved with him. But from the sounds of it, they are looking for a junior college player first rather than offering Phil."
