Where was Childs this weekend

When we spoke with Los Alamitos (Calif.) wide out Jeremy Childs on Wednesday, he had just talked to a coach from UCLA to schedule his official visit for this past weekend. So why wasn’t Childs in attendance at the Rose Bowl on Saturday?
“After we set the trip on Wednesday, Coach Johnson called me on Thursday and said they wanted to move my visit to (Dec. 17),” Childs said. “Since we played Friday night and they had the game on Saturday, I wouldn’t be able to spend much time actually taking the visit.

“So they said they wanted to move it back to the 17th so they could spend the full 48 hours with me and I said that was fine. I have an open weekend on (Dec. 10) so I might take a visit to Oregon that weekend. They’re coming in for a home visit this week so I’ll see about setting that up. That way after I visit UCLA, I’ll probably be ready to make my decision since I’ll have seen my top three schools, UCLA, Oregon and Arizona State, who I already visited.”
Childs tripped to ASU last month and had a home visit with the Sun Devils last week. Oregon and UCLA will both be coming in this week as well. On Friday, the Griffins will take on area rival Long Beach Poly for the Div I CIF Championship.
