Though Desimon Green has not made his decision yet his recruitment has been holding pretty steady for a while.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound defensive end from Clairton, Pennsylvania is clearly high on two schools -- Pitt and Texas Tech.
Pitt is a school he has become very well acquainted with in recent months and years, and Texas Tech has left a good impression on him, though he has never visited the school before.
Green has scheduled an official visit to Texas Tech on September 5th, and that may prove to be the most decisive point in his entire recruitment. It will likely tell him which of his two favorites he wants to attend.
Despite all of that Green maintains that other schools aren't entirely out of the picture.
"The Texas Tech visit is for sure but I might take two (officials)," he said. "I'm thinking about going to Cincinnati or Illinois for the second visit. I was planning on going to Cincinnati on the 24th of last month but I got poison ivy and couldn't go."
Green said those four schools already mentioned -- Pitt, Texas Tech, Cincinnati and Illinois -- are at the top of his list. Illinois isn't a school he has mentioned as much as the others in the past. Are they newcomers to the scene?
"They've been with me all along," he said. "That's still one of the schools I'm thinking about taking an official to."
