When youre hot, youre hot

When you're hot, you're hot and when you're not, you're not. If athlete prospect Malachi Lewis (6-3, 215, 4.55) from Oxnard (Calif.) Rio Mesa gets any hotter, he'll turn into a comet. His star is rising that fast.
There has been a lot of buzz about Lewis and what his ability brings to the table. When the word got out that Lewis recently ran a 10.83 in a league meet, the murmurs have become a shout.

In just two days Lewis has picked up four offers and maybe one more.
On Tuesday Evening (May 9th), Lewis received a verbal offer from Colorado.
Today (May 11th) the music was even sweeter for Lewis as he notched offers from Arizona, Oregon State and Georgia Tech.
According to Rio Mesa coach Bob Gregorchuk he has also received an offer from Washington, but Lewis is unaware of this offer at this writing.
"I have offers from Nebraska, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon State and Georgia Tech," Lewis said. "USC, Washington State, Baylor, UNLV, and Nevada write me a lot. They all tell me they are going to offer."
"UCLA came down this week, but I'm not sure if they will offer," Lewis said. "Notre Dame was also here and they took my game tape. I'm expecting to hear from Notre Dame."
"Nebraska is recruiting me as an H-back on offense and a linebacker on defense," Lewis said. "Other schools like me as a receiver, running back and linebacker."
"I'm a long way from making a decision," Lewis said. "I will probably make my decision after my season is over."
"I want to take my official visits first," Lewis said. "I don't have any favorites. I'm just going to take it as it comes and approach everything one day at a time."
