When it rains, it pours for Utes

After losing Urban Meyer to Florida and four-star quarterback Josh Portis’ commitment earlier this week, Utah has also just lost a key piece in its recruiting puzzle. The nation’s No. 8 kicker Matt Casaday has officially de-committed from the Utes.
“As of today he is withdrawing his commitment,” his father, Mike Casaday, said.

“He had been committed to Utah for a long time, but the move by coach Meyer has caused us to decide to open things back up.”
Casaday, who is 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, is from Plano (Texas) West.
“Matt is the best triple threat out there,” respected kicking expert Chris Sailer said. “He can handle punting, kickoff and field goal chores. He will be recruited for all three.”
