Wheeling Waiting
Defensive back Alan Wheeling is garnering attention from some highly regarded schools in the area, but is still waiting on his first offer.
Schools such as Virginia Tech, NC State, Virginia, Wake Forest and West Viginia are his top five and are all recruiting hard, but Wheeling has a clear favorite.

“Virginia Tech is certainly the leader right now,” said Wheeling, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback from Pulaski County, Va. “Location is very important, and living only twenty minutes from its campus really helps.”
Wheeling has yet to set up any official visits, but he still feels that he can make a decision sometime in January. Wheeler has three interceptions on the year on a team that is 9-1.
