Two schools may have the edge for Oskaloosa, Ia., standout Tyler Sash, and one of them has already offered a scholarship.
"I have an offer from Iowa State," Sash said. "And I get letters from Iowa, Wisconsin, and Indiana. I get letters from all over, but those are the ones showing the most interest."
There is good reason the 6-foot-1 and 190-pound Sash is drawing interest from schools from all over.
Sash played wide receiver, running back, safety, cornerback, and returned punts and kickoffs during his junior season. He led his team to a 9-2 record with 49 catches for over 1000 yards and close to 1000 rushing yards.
Sash, who scored 28 times, also made 45 tackles and intercepted five passes.
Sash is also a standout point guard in basketball. He is averaging 25 points per game this season with a single game high of 51.
Sash also plays for the top AAU basketball team in the state of Iowa, Martin Brothers Select.
"I'll see what happens in basketball this summer," Sash said. "Iowa State said I could play both sports."
The Cyclones are one of the schools Sash says he will definitely consider.
"I'm interested in Iowa and Iowa State," Sash said. "But I'll consider other schools.
"I went to an Iowa junior day and an Iowa State junior day. I'll probably go to their camps this summer."
Sash will probably not go through the entire recruiting process.
"I don't have a favorite right now," he said. "But I'd like to decide before the football season starts."
