Whaley stays mum on recruiting

Three-star running back Kevin Whaley was last heard from in early May. Surprisingly, not much has changed for the Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem running back in the past couple months.
"I haven't really gone to any camps," he said. "I'm just going with my team to an independent one in North Carolina.
"For me, this summer has been kind of a lull time. I still have a lot of offers though."

Whaley claims scholarships from Virginia Tech, Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, Marshall and Michigan State to name a few.
Does he have any favorites?
"No, I don't right now," he said. "I'm not really focused on recruiting. I just want to help my team win this season."
Nevertheless, Whaley did discuss what he is looking for in a college.
"I want a school with a good running back game and team coaches. That's the big things for me."
Whaley ran for 1,900 yards of offense and 39 touchdowns as a junior.
