Whaley not quite ready to focus on recruiting

A few weeks back three-star running back Kevin Whaley mentioned he was going to start focusing on the recruiting process in the near future. Rivals caught up with the Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem star to see where he's at and what's next?
"I haven't really quite focused on recruiting yet," he said. "I'm supposed to be talking about it soon with my coaches.

"I've got six offers from Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Marshall," he said. "I do plan to start taking some unofficials in the future. I don't really know where to take them. I still talk to all of those schools."
Nobody obviously leads at this time, so what does Whaley want in a school?
"I want good coaches, a good team, solid players, a nice school and a great education."
Whaley's teammate, Lyndell Gibson is committed to Virginia Tech. Does that have any barring on him?
"Lyndell is my brother, but it doesn't really change things for me at all."
Much of the No. 11 prospect in Virginia's focus continues to be on the season.
"I'm just working hard in school and on the field," he said. "The season has been going good. We're undefeated, 6-0 and this team has a lot of talent. We've got some good coaches, we play hard and we play together.
"I've been doing ok. I know last game I had 134-yards on twelve carries and three touchdowns. I'm not sure on my statistics for the year. I'm happy with my play. I can tell I'm much more explosive and getting stronger. I just need to get better at everything still."
