Wetterer gets new calls

Cincinnati (Ohio) Anderson three-star offensive tackle Mark Wetterer is a wanted man. Since the September calling period began, his phone has been ringing quite a bit. But that's just fine with him. He knows he's one of the more highly recruited linemen in Ohio and that just goes with being ranked where he's at.
"Basically all the schools that have already offered me as well as Michigan State and Virginia have already called," said Wetterer, who is ranked as the No. 27 player in Ohio and the No. 57 offensive tackle in America by Rivals.com.

At this point, he does have offers from UConn, Maryland, West Virginia, Akron, Ohio and a few more MAC schools. Are Virginia and Michigan State close to offering?
"Both have talked about offering," Wetterer said. "I'm actually going to Virginia this weekend for the game, and the next weekend I'm probably going to Michigan State. Virginia said they just need to see me. Michigan State wants to see some of my game film."
The new calls have shaken up Wetterer's list.
He now says his top teams are "Michigan State, Virginia, Ohio State and Clemson."
"Basically I want to get along with the coaching staff," Wetterer said. "I want to go to a program with great tradition and wins. I want to get a great education, too."
Wetterer's season has gotten off to a great start.
"We're 2-0 right now so we're doing pretty good," he said. "I've actually done really well so that's good for when I send out film."
What will coaches see when they get that film?
"Probably my technique and work ethic," he said. "I would say those are my two main things. I think my technique is really good. I never take off plays or anything either."
