School: Westlake, Calif.

Position: Defensive End/Tight End
Size and Speed: Miller stands 6-foot-5, weighs 250 pounds and runs the 40 in 4.8. He runs the shuttle in 4.0 and has recorded a 30-inch vertical.
Honors: Miller was selected first-team all-state underclassman, first-team all-CIF, first-team all-county, and first-team all-league as a junior.
Statistics: Miller accounted for 80 tackles, 18 ½ sacks, 14 pass break-ups (as in deflected passes), between 15-to-20 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Favorite Colleges: Miller has three official offers that Rivals knows about but we were told yesterday at the Ventura Combine held at Rio Mesa High in Oxnard, Calif., that he has over 30 offers now. The official offers we know about are from Northwestern, Oregon State and Colorado. UCLA, USC, Washington, Oregon and Michigan have already spoken to Miller by phone.
Skinny: Miller is a terror off the edge and was one of the most honored underclassmen in the state of California as a junior. Miller is considered one of the best pass rushers in the Golden State this season. When you look at Miller’s on-field performance it is easy to see why there are so many schools that are interested in Miller.
Westlake head coach Jim Benkert says it best when describing his talented defensive end. “Jimmy is very athletic and quick for his size,” Benkert said. “There just aren’t that many players that possess Jimmy’s size and athletic ability.”
Miller has an outstanding up field push and has a non-stop motor. He never takes a down off and plays hard on every down, whistle-to-whistle.
Is there a team that may have an advantage with Miller?
“I like UCLA a lot,” Miller said. “I am very interested in UCLA. I’m very open but the Bruins are one of my front runners.”
What is Miller looking for in a school?
“I’m looking for a nice school with a good atmosphere,” Miller said. “I am looking for a school where there is a good player-coach relationship. Another key factor will be the academics. I want to go to a school with a good academic reputation.”
Miller’s stock is soaring out over the roof and is now considered one of the ten best recruits in the Golden State.
