Westfield has more in 2007

Last year, Spring (Texas) Westfield coach Corby Meekins had several top prospects sign with Division I schools including safety Danny McCray (LSU), Pierre Beasley (Rice), and DeMarcus Connor (Oklahoma State). This year his team is young, but Meekins says that doesn't mean that there aren't some top players there.
A pair of cornerbacks, Luther Eta and Anthony Forker, are two of the top guys that colleges have been sending mail to. Meekins says they're both armed with speed and have different, but special abilities.

"Luther beat out a senior as a sophomore on our state championship team," Meekins said. "So really he's 27 games under his belt going into his senior year. I'm not sure every school he's hearing from, but he's definitely getting a lot of mail.
"Anthony started at Cy Ridge at safety during his sophomore year. He moved in here the beginning of last year and played a backup role. He's a 4-4-second kid and returned the opening kickoff last year for a touchdown."
Former All-American Colorado linebacker Kanavis McGhee's son Jacory McGhee is a wide receiver at 6-foot-1, 193 pounds that people are already watching.
Running back Terrance Sweeney is headed to Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College and that will give incomer Dwayne Stewart a chance to shine.
"He's 5-foot-11, 198 pounds and runs a sub 4.5-second 40-yard dash," he said. "He backed up Terrance last year and started a couple of games. He's big, strong, and runs with power."
Outside linebacker Marcus Sanders (6-foot, 205 pounds) is another to watch in this young group.
