Wester could emerge late

Fort Myers (Fla.) South Fort Myers cornerback Eric Wester recently drew attention with a strong performance at the Top Gun Camp in Williamsburg, Virginia. The 5-foot-10, 182-pound defensive back is hoping that performance will lead to more offers.
"My only offer so far is Tennessee State," Wester said. "I am hearing from a lot of schools. I am hearing from Indiana, Arizona, Bowling Green, Boston College, and West Virginia."

Wester has a theory for why his recruitment hasn't gained steam during the spring and summer.
"I think it is because I am being recruited as a cornerback and I don't have much film at that position," Wester said. "I have film at safety. I also transferred from Fort Myers to South (Fort Myers), so my film didn't really switch hands very well with that move."
The South Florida defender believes that he is on the verge of more offers.
"I think Bowling Green is close," Wester said. "I talk to them the most out of all of them. I talk to them and Indiana a lot. All of them tell me they want to wait until after the first four games of my senior season."
Wester is hoping to earn another offer with a camp performance this weekend.
"I am at West Virginia now," Wester said. "I am doing their camp this weekend. I am pretty familiar with West Virginia through my cousin. My cousin (Brodrick Jenkins) plays there."
With regards to making a decision, Wester intends to take his time with the process but said that if the right offer came along he would consider a commitment on the spot.
