West Virginia picks up Ohio LB

West Virginia added another commitment last week from Cincinnati (Ohio) LaSalle linebacker Vince Harris. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder pledged to the Mountaineers over offers from Illinois, Akron, Ohio and Western Michigan.
"I actually committed last Monday," he said. "I went down there to watch them play and after the game I was able to go to the locker room and talk to the coaches and I could just tell it felt like a place I could play at and fit right in.

"I decided to call coach Tall after the trip to give him my commitment and then my dad talked to coach Rodriguez. They basically said that they are glad to have me and think I made a good choice."
Obviously the visit to Morgantown did a lot in helping the Mountaineers land the two-star prospect.
"I just liked everything there," he said. "The fans were crazy and the coaches are great and of course they are a winning team too, so that helps a lot. I really liked coach Tall and the rest of the staff. They all laid it out there for me and basically said I could probably be used a bit as a freshman and then I'll get a chance to start my sophomore year.
"On top of that, I really like the town. It's like somewhere I've never seen before. I've never been to the mountains and I love how the school sits in the valley that was really neat."
This season Harris has rushed for 940 yards and three touchdowns.
