West Virginia OL claims offers

One of the better offensive line prospects at the Clemson NIKE Training Camp was Beckley (W.V.) Woodrow Wilson guard Micah Carter. The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder said he had a good day and in one of the most competitive camps on the tour, he felt he belonged in the top five at his position.
"I felt like I was one of the top offensive linemen there," Carter said. "There were some great offensive lineman here, and I feel that I was in the top five. I learned about more technique, hand movement and footwork."

So far all of those things have brought in scholarship offers from three schools. He claims to have offers from Marshall, Georgia Tech and Tennessee. He said each team brings something to the table he really likes.
"Coach Snyder at Marshall is a great coach," Carter said. "I have visited them and that is the only college I have visited right now. He is just a great coach and staff. I know players there already and Marshall is my top team now.
"I think when I visit Georgia Tech. I will give them more thought then, but I haven't really visited or talked to their coaches that much. They are a great team and I look forward to visiting. Tennessee is a great School, it's in the SEC, and it's one of the best teams in the country. I can really learn a whole lot more down there."
Until he makes a decision, Carter is focused on helping his team go as far as it can in the state playoffs next season.
"We went 9-1 last year, but we got upset in the playoffs in the first round," he said. "Being an upcoming senior I want to go out with a championship."
There will also be competition off the field between Carter and Chad Snodgrass for the honor to be called the top offensive lineman in West Virginia.
"I am looking forward to a rematch," Carter said. "He is a great opponent, and I'm just looking forward to that game."
