West Virginia offers south Florida WR

A wide receiver prospect emerging from south Florida is Allen Hurns. Hurns, 6-2 and 175 pounds, is a three-star prospect from Miami Carol City High School. He recently has been offered a scholarship from one of the top teams in the Big East.
"West Virginia offered me today," Hurns said. "I am really excited about this (scholarship) offer. I like their style of offense. I also know a couple of players there that I am friends with."

Miami, Central Florida, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, and Florida International have also offered Hurns. West Virginia makes six. Where does he stand with the recruiting process?
"Well, I liked West Virginia before they offered. They were in my top five before that too. I like them, Miami, Pitt, UCF and Florida. Florida hasn't offered me. I love Ohio State but they are not talking to me like that."
Hurns is a good looking wide receiver prospect for Carol City. He has nice size and makes something happen with the ball in his hands. Hurns has good speed, runs hard and is tough in space. He looks like a jack of all trades at receiver, catching the short stuff and making something happen. Hurns can also get behind a secondary or go over the middle. Last season he caught 23 passes for 450 yards and seven scores. He also plays a little quarterback and returns kicks.
