West Texas OL has talent, offers

Introducing one of West Texas' biggest and best prospects, 6-foot-8, 275-pound offensive lineman Andrew Carnahan of Hereford.
Despite how big he is, Carnahan has virtually flown below the recruiting radar for many teams because he is in only his second year as a varsity starter at offensive tackle. But the interest in Carnahan is starting to pick up.

He's already received scholarship offers from Texas Tech and Wyoming, and Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Rice are also calling on a weekly basis.
Carnahan says he has no favorites among the schools, but he knows what he's looking for.
"I'd like a school that's in a small, college town, that plays good football and has a good engineering program," Carnahan explained.
Carnahan says he visited one such place two weeks ago when he made an official visit to Texas Tech.
"I really liked it. I had a lot of fun talking to the coaches and meeting the players."
Carnahan said his favorite part was something the Tech coaches set up for him and the two other official visitors, Forney athlete DaBryan Blanton and Sonora wide receiver James Elliott.
"We went into the locker room on Friday night and they had jerseys there with our names on them. Then they took us out on the field and on the big screen they had an announcer talking and had our highlights running on the screen. It was pretty exciting."
As much as Carnahan liked his trip to Lubbock, he says he's still continuing to look at other schools.
He is a full academic qualifier with a 3.9 GPA and a score of 1,120 on the SAT.
