West Coast standout QB has favorite

Quarterback Brian Hildebrand (6-2, 190, 4.68) from Corona, Calif., first grabbed Rivals attention at the Nike Camp held at USC last April and he has been impressing Rivals and others ever since. Hildebrand has had a tremendous off-season that saw him selected to participate in the prestigious Elite 11 quarterback camp.
“I had a good time and a lot of fun,” Hildebrand said about the Elite 11 camp. “I made a lot friends, and we all of us got along great.”

“I was able to meet Troy Aikman, Drew Brees and Doug Flutie,” Hildebrand said. “The camp was a great experience.”
“I learned a lot about reads and stuff like that,” Hildebrand said. “I will be able to use some things that I learned this fall.”
Besides going to the Elite 11 camp, Hildebrand attended Colorado’s four-day camp; he was at UCLA’s camp for two days and made to ASU for one day.
Hildebrand has been compared to Stanford bound T.C. Ostrander by Colorado and by others he has been compared to former ASU great and now Denver Bronco Jake Plummer.
Hildebrand has thrown for 4,498 yards and 31 touchdowns for his career at Corona, while throwing for 1,898 yards and 22 touchdowns against only seven interceptions as a junior.
In an earlier interview with Rivals.com Corona head coach John Brandom said this about his talented field general, “Brian is very football savvy. He’s a very knowledgeable football player and is way ahead of the learning curve. He will check into a running play depending on the coverage at the line of scrimmage or if a pass will work he calls that play. He’s right 99% of the time.”
Hildebrand has offers from Oregon State, Colorado State and San Diego State while getting recruiting attention from UCLA, Colorado and Arizona State.
UCLA, a childhood favorite, is Hildebrand’s number one choice, but the Bruins haven’t offered as of yet.
