“BYU makes my 10th offer among the 35 schools still recruiting at this time,” Pau’u said. “The top five are Utah, Oregon, Penn State, Washington, and UCLA.”
“Utah is recruiting the hardest,” Pau’u said. “I've gotten calls from Utah, BYU, Arizona, Oklahoma, and UCLA so far this month.”
“I was the most impressed by Coach (Keith) Upereza from Utah because he showed a lot of interest in me,” Pau’u said. “The favorite if I had to commit today would probably be Utah.”
“I made an unofficial visit to Arizona on Sep. 11 that was okay,” Pau’u said. “I would like to make official visits to Utah, Oregon, UCLA, Penn State, and Washington if I could make them today.”
“I still want to take all five before making a decision but I may only take one and feel that it the right school,” Pau’u said. “At this point I don't know when I'll make my decision.”
Is there a special team that may carry more weight with Pau’u?
“To play at UCLA was a childhood dream of mine.”
Pau’u was a member of the Rivals.com preseason California Top 100 for the class of 2005. He was ranked as the Golden State’s number 79 prospect at any position.
