Wells looking around

The quick start to the recruitment of Beaumont Ozen's Ben Wells ended after Texas' Junior Day, when the standout defensive back committed to the Longhorns.
The top rated player in the country had added several offers before and after his visit including LSU, TCU, Oklahoma State, and Nebraska. Regardless, Wells said after his decision that his feeling about the Longhorns had been sitting in his mind for some time.

"Texas is where I have wanted to go for a few years," Wells told Orangebloods.com. "That's where I wanted to be."
It appears that the story ended there. Or did it?
After the dust settled on the early decision and Wells' basketball team lost to Brenham in the playoffs, he had time to think reflect on things over the last couple of weeks.
"It's all happened real quick," Wells said about his commitment. "I went to Texas, came back and played basketball - now I've started track. I really liked my trip to Texas, but I still got offered by LSU and Nebraska when I got home. Those schools and Kansas State are really getting after me."
It's apparent that other national programs aren't giving up on Wells, who had six interceptions as a junior.
"It's still early on in the recruiting process," Wells said. "I still want to take some visits to see how this pans out. You never know what can happen."
There are no specific visits set up at this time.
