Wellman starting to eye visits

Huntington (W.V.) Spring Valley linebacker Elijah Wellman claims four offers to date. The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder is starting to think about visits, but where is he planning to go?
"I have offers from UNC-Charlotte, Ohio, Bowling Green and Marshall," he said. "I like them all. They are all homey and down-to-earth, but I'm trying to keep my options open right now and get more offers."

Wellman is just coming off a trip to Bowling Green.
"The coach there really stood out to me," he said. "They were good guys and weren't screaming. They were just really down-to-earth people."
Wellman is trying to get to Ohio along with NC State and possibly East Carolina soon, but because of his baseball schedule trips have been difficult.
Meanwhile, a couple other programs are starting to show interest, Georgia Tech and Tennessee.
So, does Wellman like anybody?
"My recruiting process just started," he said. "I don't really have a favorite.
"I want to go somewhere that is homey and be able to make myself at home there. I want good coaches, down-to-earth coaches and I want to study law or criminal justice."
The West Virginia linebacker earned first team all-state honors after posting approximately 135 tackles on the year.
Wellman is getting looks for baseball as well since he is a pitcher, but has yet to receive an offer. Would he think about playing both in college?
"It depends where I go," he said. "If I go somewhere smaller, it'd be a lot easier to do that. But if I go to a bigger school, I'll probably have to choose one or the other."
