Wedderburn starts to look at officials

After cutting his list to five last month, three-star tight end Mark Wedderburn is in the process of working on official visits. The Springfield (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara prospect believes he has one so far.
"I think I have one set for Penn State when they play Notre Dame (September 8th)," he said. "That is probably going to be one of my officials, but I've got to see what happens. I want to go there because of the great connection I have with the coaching staff, they are like family to me. They are my leading college right now.

"The other one I'm definitely taking an official to is Louisville. I've heard great things about them and they are a passing team."
Wedderburn confirmed that he is wavering on his top five.
"I wouldn't say I really have a top five, it varies every month," he said. "Two other schools that are very close and I'm considering for officials are Michigan and Rutgers."
As for a decision, the No. 14 prospect in Pennsylvania isn't sure he'll be able to get it done by the end of the season.
"I want to make a decision by the end of the football year, but I don't know if it's going to happen."
In preparation for the season, Wedderburn maintains that he's seen a big improvement in his ability.
"I worked on my speed a whole lot over the summer and I've got it down to a 4.5," he said. "My balance is improved too and now I'm working on my concentration and hands, by juggling balls. That will allow me to improve my ability for jump balls."
