Wedderburn discusses leaders

It's no secret tight end Mark Wedderburn out of Springfield (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara is favoring Penn State. After all, the 6-foot-6, 235-pounder's brother Floyd played for the Nittany Lions, but little has been made of a handful of other schools definitely in the hunt as well.
"I'd say right now Penn State is leading the race," he said. "They are close to home and obviously my brother used to go there. I used to go up every weekend and I know all the coaches. I have developed a familiarity with them since my brother worked with the staff too. They also have good chemistry up there."

With approximately 15 offers in-hand, are any other schools in striking distance?
"Definitely a few schools like Louisville, Michigan and Miami are up there too," he stated. "I like those a lot because they pass the bal. Louisville throws it a heck of a lot. Michigan is a tough program and I think I could help stretch the field vertically for them. While I love Miami, they have a lot of great tight ends that come out of that program every year and they produce terrific NFL talent."
Recently one other school has joined the race for the Keystone State tight end.
"Tennessee offered me on Friday," he said. "I like their school too. They have a great reputation and I'm trying to make a trip down there this summer too."
Besides going to Knoxville, Wedderburn has scheduled a camp at Penn State on June 28th and is planning to make his way down to Miami's as well.
