Weber close to setting visits

Michigan four-star running back commit Mike Weber of Detroit Cass Tech has stated throughout the fall that he will take all of his official visits, and they could start as soon as this weekend.
"I am supposed to visit Michigan State this weekend, but I don't know if I should take it as an official or not," he said. "I contact the coaches sometimes and the coaches contact me sometimes. Right now we are just building that relationship back up that we had."

Weber said he still has a good relationship with the coaching staff at Michigan, but he will continue to explore other options in the coming weeks and months.
"I just know that I want to take my visits right now and go from there," Weber said.
There were three additional schools besides Michigan State and Michigan that Weber said he is in close contact with and they are Mississippi State, Ohio State and Wisconsin.
Mississippi State was not a school Weber mentioned much earlier in his recruitment, prior to the Michigan commitment, but they have caught his attention this fall.
"I like how they run the ball and it is kind of familiar to what we're running here at Cass," Weber said. "They are the No. 1 team in the country so that is big. I just want to get down there and visit, see if I like it or not."
Wisconsin had been involved with Weber during the off-season, but it is only recently that the two parties have reconnected.
"Really, it's been in the last few days that they have been contacting me," he said. "The main part is how they run the ball and knowing the success they've had with running backs in the past."
Ohio State has been staying in contact with Weber throughout the fall, and he is talking with head coach Urban Meyer and assistant coach Kerry Coombs. The Buckeye's biggest recruiter, however, may be Weber's teammate, Joshua Alabi, who committed to Ohio State in July.
"(Alabi) is getting in my ear every day," Weber said. "I actually talked to the coaches yesterday and they were just talking about getting me back down there and how things would work out if I came there."
