ATLANTA -– Four-star wide receiver Mark Webb updated his recruiting status status at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Media Day.

THE LATEST: Georgia has been a heavy favorite for Webb since the Bulldogs offered and remain in that position. He also took a visit to Athens yesterday and this morning with D’Andre Swift to gain some further information about the program and school. Before the Georgia visit, Webb’s most recent trip was to North Carolina. Next he hopes to visit Alabama, North Carolina, Maryland and Penn State, while additional visits are also still possible during the summer before making a final decision.

IN HIS WORDS: "I might move my commitment closer now. I was going to commit after the season, but now I might move it closer, either before the start of the season or after the first game of the season. I don’t know yet, but I’m definitely going to move it closer. Everyone else is moving their commitment back and I’m moving it up.”

RIVALS REACTION: Now that Webb has decided to move his commitment date sooner by a couple of months, it puts Georgia in an even stronger position. Since he mentioned that he is not specifically waiting on any additional offers, this one definitely looks as if it’s Georgia’s to lose as long as they continue to woo Webb. He also does not plan to take any visits to other schools after making his commitment.
