Weaver working on visits

Offensive center Thomas Weaver out of Irvington, N.J. still holds a few offers and is receiving more interest. So far, the 6-foot-2, 265-pounder hasn't taken any official visits. Has he started to look into them?
"I'm getting some looks and have offers from UConn, Duke, New Mexico State, Kansas State and Morgan State," he said. "Rutgers and Temple are still looking at me too.

"I haven't really thought about visits yet. I've talked about it a bit. The one thing I know is that I don't think I want to go too far away from home. I'm definitely looking at the schools nearby."
At this point, there are no favorites for the two-star prospect.
"Nobody is standing out," he said. "I'm just looking for somewhere that has a good football program and good academics. I'd like a solid coaching staff that can help me set up a good future too."
Meanwhile, the Scarlet Knights continue to show interest.
"They are showing me a lot of interest and they like what I can do, but haven't said anything about an offer."
Weaver helped lead Irvington to a 10-2 season and an appearance in the state championship game.
"We lost at state, but we still played well," he said. "That team is my family and I wish them the best of luck. I thought I played well. I think I really improved a lot blocking and I was quicker on my feet than in previous years."
