Weaver bursts on the scene with offers

He may be labeled as a sleeper, but defensive end Joshua Weaver of Marietta, Ga., has already picked up his first two scholarship offers which has him sky rocketing towards a bigger status.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound defensive end is a fast, off-the-edge, type of prospect that has already racked up near 40 tackles through five games for his high school team. On the college landscape, Memphis and Middle Tennessee State have become the first two scholarship offers in hand.

"I think they're both good schools," Weaver said. "Two of my best friends play for Memphis and I also have a friend that plays for Middle Tennessee so there is a connection there. The coaches at Middle Tennessee remind me of my coaches here at school – they're really great."
"Memphis I've heard a lot about through my friends, so I know what kind of program they have already."
Weaver is talking things over with his parents about visits and with money concerns, it looks like they're trying to save up for a bunch of trips later in the fall. With all the discussion, Weaver is starting to think about favorites and has a solid top five in place.
"I like Louisville, I just like them," Weaver said. "I also really like Florida as well. I'm waiting to hear from those schools but they're in my top five along with Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee, and Memphis."
"I'm going to wait a little longer though to make a decision. I'm going to wait and see if any more offers come so I can make the best choice."
