Weather delays trip

The snow storm that grounded a lot of things this past week in Missouri also grounded defensive end John Hopkins of St. Louis Oakville from taking an official visit this weekend to Northern Illinois.
"I'm going to talk to them this week about re-setting it, but I will be at Ball State next weekend," Hopkins said.

"We got a lot of snow here in St. Louis. It grounded all the flights and we lost power for a while. It just wasn't a good weekend to take a trip."
Hopkins, who has offers from Indiana and Northern Illinois, said he's still trying to figure out what he's going to do after he visits Northern and Ball State.
"I've got a couple of schools still calling like Indiana, Kansas and Kansas State," he said. "I'm not sure what they want to do yet. I'll probably visit some of those places in January. I've let my parents and my coaches start taking a big role in my recruiting. I'm really busy with work and working out and trying to stay in shape for football."
Hopkins said his coach is set to talk to the Indiana coaches this week about its offer and if it still is officially on the table. He said he does talk weekly with the Jayhawk and Wildcat coaches still.
