Wazzu commit to take Utah trip

Deontay Burnett has been committed to Washington State since early April but the three-star wide receiver is planning another Pac-12 trip later this season.
The Gardena (Calif.) Serra standout will visit Utah in early November for the Oregon contest. Later that month, Burnett will take his official trip to Washington State for its instate rivalry game against Washington.

"That's it right now," Burnett said.
"I don't have any other visits set but if some others come next maybe I could get up to their school."
Utah has not backed off Burnett even after his commitment and the three-star receiver appreciates the attention. Burnett has developed a good relationship with assistant coach Sharrieff Shah and that's one big reason why he wants to visit with the Utes.
It could be a big trip for the Serra receiver.
"They've been recruiting me hard," Burnett said. "Coach Shah wants me to get up there to check out the environment so I'm going to take that trip."
Just because Burnett is taking another visit to a Pac-12 school does not seem to influence his Washington State pledge at all.
The three-star receiver has kept in really close touch with the Cougars' coaching staff and said his commitment remains firm. Another trip does not mean he's wavering.
"I'm pretty solid with Wazzu right now," Burnett said. "I talk to the coaches every week so it's pretty good. We've been staying in contact every week so I'm pretty solid with them."
Burnett, who had an outstanding offseason on the 7on7 circuit, has been hearing more from Arizona State and Fresno State recently.
