Waugh waiting until Signing Day

While lots of rising senior prospects have already made their college destinations known many others are planning on announcing their choices before their senior seasons begin.
DeVante Waugh, however, plans on waiting until the last minute. Though it's not even June the 6-foot, 165-pound athlete from Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township plans on waiting holding out for as long as he can.

"I'm waiting until Signing Day," Waugh said over the weekend.
That might not be great news for fans of Louisville and Rutgers, the two schools that have offered scholarships to Waugh. That's not to say those schools aren't under consideration. They are right in the thick of things.
However, the longer Waugh waits the more schools will probably become involved, and that's exactly what the talented prospect is hoping for.
Virginia, North Carolina, Minnesota, Wisconsin and a host of FCS programs sent coaches by Waugh's school over the past couple of weeks to express interest.
With summer approaching the next major phase in the recruiting process is at hand.
"I'm going to a camp at Cincinnati," Waugh said. "I know that for sure. Ohio State is another one (camp) that's up in the air."
