Watts makes his decision

Utah is already having one of the top line classes in the West this year and that class looks even better now after the Utes reeled in Los Banos (Calif.) offensive lineman Walter Watts this weekend.
Watts, 6-3, 300 pounds committed last Spring to UCLA but both party's decided to go in a different direction a few weeks ago and the lineman decided to take an official visit to Utah this weekend.

"I had a good time and decided to commit to them," Watts said. "I'm not going to take any other visits. I was going to check out Colorado next weekend but I'm done, I really liked it at Utah and I don't see any reason to check out any other schools.
"The thing I was looking for on the visit was just being comfortable with the players, coaches and area and I had that at Utah. I really liked the campus and the city itself and I just think it's a great overall fit for me. They have a great coaching staff and are building a strong foundation here to be good for some time."
Ironically, Utah will open the season next year playing at UCLA.
"Yeah, I noticed that,' Watts said. "I don't have any bitter feelings against UCLA though. In my heart, I just feel that Utah is where I should be and the best overall place for me. I'm excited and relieved this whole process is over."
