Washington State adds another

Things couldn’t be going much better at Wazzu. The Cougars are 7-0 and recruiting seems to have hit an all-time high.
Just two weeks ago, the Cougars hosted three Southern California blue chips on their official visits. They all reportedly liked the visit and defensive back Reggie Grigsby left Pullman favoring the Cougars.

Now, there’s been a couple of commitments of late, highlighted by the decision of Spokane (Wash.) University athlete Don Turner to pledge to the Cougars.
“It’s pretty close to home,” Turner said of his decision. “I was originally thinking I might be going somewhere else. But they’re having a good season again and that showed me they’re going to be back where they want to be.”
Turner is a 6-foot, 170-pound prospect who plays wide receiver and cornerback for U High.
Turner had 31 receptions for 700 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior. He also made four interceptions that year.
This year, although he said he didn’t have his official stats handy, he says he’s got into the end zone on receptions six times. He’s also picked off two more enemy passes.
Turner has yet to schedule his official visit but he says the coaching staff is talking about asking him to come in the weekend of the UCLA game.
