Washington pulls second offer, talks leaders

Paramus (N.J.) Paramus Catholic 2014 wideout Tyrone Washington has pulled in his second scholarship. The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder is seeing his interest rise as spring picks up.
"I'm hearing from Michigan still, Miami, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Virginia, Penn State, Boston College and Rutgers," he said. "I do have the offer from Rutgers and UMass offered me too."

Washington has no visits planned in the near future, but noted he intends to get out on some trips eventually.
Meanwhile, he has two schools sticking out early.
"I like Rutgers and I like Miami a little," he said. "Rutgers is because I've kind of thought about staying home. Everybody who gets a chance to leave goes, and I kind of want to stay home.
"With Miami, they have a good mobile offense and the throw the ball. The ACC is a good conference with FSU and other teams and I'd like to play against some of those teams."
As he looks to get out to more schools, Washington is looking for a few things wherever he ends up.
"My mom and I are big on education," he said. "I want a good school overall and I want to feel at home. I would like to study business too."
Washington helped Paramus Catholic to a state championship victory this year playing both ways.
"I did very well," he said. "I think I stood out more as a defensive back than as a wide receiver. I actually enjoyed defense a lot more and would want to play defense in college."
