Washington lands Cali OL

Huntington Beach (Calif.) offensive lineman Skyler Fancher took his official visit to Washington this past weekend. After visiting San Diego State the previous weekend, Fancher didn't waste much time making his decision.
"I committed Saturday night at dinner," Fancher said. "I wanted to take my time a little and make sure everything was good for me and it was. I had a chance to talk to Coach Willingham during the dinner and that's when I told him I was ready to commit.

"He was pretty excited and so was I. Washington is a great school and has everything I was looking for. For starters, it's in the Pac 10 and that was a big deal for me. I love all the coaches there, especially Coach Willingham and the facilities are great as well.
"All the players on the team get along really well and the freshman class seems especially close. I like the campus itself a lot and also like the tutoring program they have at Washington. I'm planning to major in Business and they have a strong Business major."
Fancher came on strong this past year and played like one of the top tackle prospects in the state. He has already set some lofty goals for himself at UW.
"I don't want to red-shirt, I want to come in and play next season," Fancher said. "I talked with Coach Denbrock and he told me if I worked hard, there was no reason why I couldn't get on the field next season. That's going to be my goal and I'm going to work very hard in the off-season to try and get there."
