Washington is still Washington

Venice, Calif., three-star strongside defensive end Erick Lobos took his third official visit of the recruiting season to San Diego State this weekend, and it was an extremely strong visit, he said. But was it strong enough to knock Washington off the top perch on his list of top teams?
“San Diego State was great,” Lobos, who is 6-foot-3 and 273 pounds, said. “I liked it a lot. It was a cool trip. It was a lot like LA, but it was an even better environment. The weather, the beach, the town, the coaches and the players were all great.”

But was it enough to knock the Huskies from the top spot?
“I liked it a lot, but Washington is still my top team,” he said. “I was really tempted to commit when I was up at Washington last weekend, and I didn’t get that feeling or that temptation to commit this weekend. I mean it was a cool visit and all, but Washington is still Washington.”
Lobos will now get back into football mode as he prepares to play in the upcoming Cal-Florida Bowl. After that he’s lined up official visits to Utah on January 9 and then Arizona on January 16. He’s also visited Washington State back in October.
